India - JCB India Invests Rs 500 crores for Jaipur Plant

JCB India has announced the development of a new manufacturing plant on a 70 acre-plot in Mahindra World City (MWC) in Jaipur.

JCB India has announced that it would develop a new manufacturing facility in Mahindra Lifespace Developers' integrated business city MWC. The move will help to boost Jaipur's status as one of India's economic centres.

The plant will be developed at a cost of Rs 500 crore and will occupy a plot of industrial land spanning 70 acres, said the company.

JCB India added that the Jaipur plant will be the company's fourth factory in the country. Currently it has one plant in Ballabgarh, Haryana near New Delhi and two more in Pune.

Vipin Sondhi, JCB India Managing Director and CEO said, “I am delighted that after continued investment by JCB in India, Jaipur will become home to the Company's next world-class manufacturing facility.”

Developed by Mahindra Lifespace Developers, MWC is an integrated business city designed to support the creation of economic centres of development in Jaipur.

“It is an important milestone for us in our journey of creating an industrial destination at Jaipur to have a leading customer like JCB as part of Mahindra World City, Jaipur,” said Mahindra Lifespace Developers MD and CEO Anita Arjundas.
