China - Swire Hotels To Open Second EAST Hotel In China

Following the launch of EAST Hong Kong in January 2010, Swire Hotels will be launching EAST Beijing at the end of September, marking its second property under the EAST brand in China.
Swire Hotels is gearing up for the launch of its second hotel property under the EAST brand. Come end-September, EAST Beijing will open its doors for business.
Offering 369 rooms, including 23 suites, EAST Beijing will be situated in Beijing's Chaoyang District. The property will be included as part of INDIGO, a mixed-use development by Swire Properties and Sino-Ocean Land.
"We're very excited about the opening of EAST, Beijing," said Brian Williams, managing director of Swire Hotels. "Continuing with what we're doing in Hong Kong, our philosophy for the EAST brand is to create a lifestyle business hotel that is going to rejuvenate you when you are tired; energise you when you are in search of fun; and support you when it's time for business."
The hotel is targeted at business travellers looking for a relaxed, convenient and contemporary environment. Following the EAST hotel brand standards, EAST Beijing will include a paperless check-in and check-out experience, and a one-stop front desk service team.
All guestrooms will be equipped with a built-in array of international power points, iPod touch technology and WiFi broadband Internet connectivity. Guests will also be able to enjoy the use of a gym, a swimming pool and an outdoor splash pool, with executive floors and an executive lounge located on the 24th and 25th levels.
There will also be a range of dining options available provided by Feast (Food by EAST), an all-day dining restaurant offering international favourites; Hagaki, a Californian-inspired Japanese eatery; and Xian, a multi-element bar, lounge and music venue.
The hotel will also host on its third floor, The Workshop, an integrated meeting and events space fitted with MICE facilities.
EAST Beijing is Swire Hotel's second hotel in Beijing (after The Opposite House at Sanlitun Village) and the fourth EAST property in Asia.
